応募のための準備についてPrepare for Application

留学の目的と参加したいプログラムをみつけるところから始めましょう。
留学の目的は、人さまざま。人との出会い、異文化理解、特定の国への興味などいろいろあると思いますが、ICUの留学プログラムは単位取得が目的になっているので、留学の学びを軸に考えて、そこにさらにそれぞれの目的を組み合わせていくといいでしょう。
それぞれの留学プログラムの応募説明会に参加して準備しましょう。

Start by finding out why you want to study abroad and what program you want to participate in.
The purpose of studying abroad varies from person to person. You may want to meet people, understand different cultures, or be interested in a particular country. ICU's study abroad program is to earn credit, it is ideal to consider learning opportunity as the core of your study abroad and then combine each of your own objectives further into the program.
Prepare for studying abroad by attending an application explanatory session for each program.

成績・英語要件はプログラムによって異なるので、各プログラムの応募要項を確認してください。
交換/海外留学プログラムについては、学内選考の基準はGPA（累積）3.00以上、TOEFL 79点以上、IELTS6.0以上（ただし6.5以上が望ましい）です。協定校ごとのGPAや英語要件は「応募の手引き」で確認できます。
ソフォモアSEAプログラムについては、学内選考の基準はGPA（累積）2.00以上（ただし2.50以上が望ましい）、TOEFL ITP500 [iBT61] 点以上、またはIELTS（Academic Module）5.5以上です。
夏期留学プログラムは協定校によって様々です。各協定校のプログラム情報をご確認ください。

For the Exchange/ Study Abroad Programs, the requirement for ICU internal selection are a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or above, a TOEFL score of 79 or higher or an IELTS score of 6.0 or higher (6.5 or higher is desirable). The GPA and English language requirements for each partner institution can be found in the Handbook.
For the Sophomore SEA program, the requirement for ICU internal selection are a cumulative GPA of 2.00 or above (but 2.50 or above is desirable), and a TOEFL ITP 500 or higher [iBT61] score or IELTS (Academic Module) of 5.5 or higher.
For Summer Study Abroad Programs vary from one partner institution to another. Please check the program information of each partner institution.

応募することは妨げませんが、学内選考では英語能力も含めて総合的に審査されます。

The International Office will accept your application even if your English test score is lower than the requirement of your preferred university.
Applicants will be chosen based on a comprehensive review of the screening, including your English language proficiency.

プログラム横断検索や報告書・アンケート検索のページを活用ください。学問分野やその他のキーワードから留学先大学を探すことができます。
また、学びたい分野の先生や先輩学生などにも相談すると、いろいろとアドバイスしてくれると思います。

Please use the 'Cross Search for Programs' and 'Report and Questionnaire' to find your best matching destinations. You may search institutions by your interested academic area and/or other key items.
Also, it is a good idea to talk to your professors or senior students in the field you want to study. They may be able to give you some advice.

費用・奨学金についてFees and Scholarships

おおよその目安としては次の通りです（2019年度参考）。
交換・海外留学プログラム：留学期間中ICUの通常の授業料・施設費を納め、原則として派遣先大学の授業料は免除されます（一部例外があります）。渡航費、海外旅行傷害保険料、住居費、生活費等は自己負担。
SEAプログラム：約68～73万円（研修費・航空券・海外旅行傷害保険料含む/2019年度参考）
夏期留学プログラム：約10万円～100万円、協定校によって異なる。このほか渡航費、海外旅行傷害保険料等は自己負担。

The approximate cost of each program is as follows (in AY2019)
Exchange/Study Abroad Programs: Those participating in the exchange program pay the usual ICU tuition and facility fees, and will be exempted from paying fees at the host institutions. (There are some exceptions.) Students are responsible for their own travel, insurance, housing and living expenses.
SEA Program: Approximately 680,000-73,000 yen (including tuition fee, airfare, and travel insurance)
Summer Study Abroad Programs: Approximately 100,000 yen to 1 million yen, depending on the partner institution. Students are responsible for their own travel expenses and insurance.

短期の留学プログラムについてShort-Term Study Abroad Programs

そんなことはまったくありません！過去に留学プログラムに参加した先輩の中にも、SEAプログラムや夏期留学プログラムなどを交換/海外留学プログラムのステップにして経験を積んで、希望の協定校に留学した学生もいます。

No, not at all! Some of the senior students who have participated in study abroad programs in the past have used the SEA Programs and the Summer Study Abroad Programs as a step to their Exchange/Study Abroad Programs to gain experience, so that they could study at their preferred partner institution.

夏期留学プログラムの中には2週間程度のものもあります。詳しくは各協定校のプログラム情報をご確認してください。

Some of the Summer Study Abroad Programs are only 2 weeks long. For more information, please check the program information of each partner institution.

５年プログラム・教職課程・私費留学について5-year Program, Teacher Certificate Program, Self-funded Study Abroad

はい、履修計画は入念に立てる必要がありますが、両立はできます。3年次の交換留学プログラム参加中に海外から応募することができます。

Yes, you need to plan your courses carefully, but you can apply both. You may apply from abroad during your junior year of the exchange program.

これまで教職課程の学生で留学した学生はいますが、履修計画は重要です。早めに教務グループやアカデミックプランニングサポートに相談しましょう。

We have had students taking the Teacher Certificate Program courses who have studied abroad, but course planning is important. Talk to the staff members at the Educational Affairs Group and Academic Planning Support at your earliest possible time.
