A tennis ball released from the edge of the rotating merry go round was observed from inside and outside. From the observer in the merry go round, the ball appears to move outward at first, which is ascribed to the centrifugal force, and then it begins to fall behind the observer's line of sight, which is ascribed to Coriolis force. From the observer outside the merry go round, the released ball simply travels in a straight line.
