ICU グリークラブは、国際基督教大学の学生を中心として約40名の団員を抱える混声合唱団であり、1953年の大学設立と同年の創立から2013年で60年を迎えました。現在は年2 回の定期演奏会、その他に大学祭でのアンサンブル披露や近隣の福祉施設訪問、大学式典での奏楽を中心に活動を行い、そのいずれも運営から指揮・伴奏にわたるまでひとつひとつが学生自身の手によって作り上げられています。宗教曲や黒人霊歌のほか、日本の民謡やポップス・ジャズに至るまで、その演奏の幅は多岐にわたっています。
ICU Glee Club is a mixed choir unlike its name and most of our 40 members are ICU students. The club was established in 1953, the same year of founding ICU, and celebrates 60 years on 2013. In addition to two annual concerts, we perform in ICU festival, a local welfare facility and university ceremonies. All of the events are run by the members, including conductors and accompanists. We sing various songs such as SATB traditional spirituals, sacred/secular songs, Japanese songs and carols.
