The trimester system
Under the trimester system, the spring semester runs from early April to late June, the fall semester runs from early September to late November, and the winter semester runs from early December to early March. As each semester is treated as a complete unit, end of semester tests are held each semester, with the semester ending on the last day of the tests. This means that the ICU summer vacation is around two months, in July and August, while the spring vacation is around one month, in March.

Two graduation periods each year
At ICU, there are two graduation periods: March (for students who matriculated in April) and June (for students who matriculated in September). Students graduating in June look for employment with the aim of joining a company or organization in the following April or earlier if possible.
