Theater as Dialogue
古代より現代に至るまで洋の東西を問わず演劇はさまざまなレベルでの対話から成り立っています。登場人物の間での白熱した議論や情緒溢れる語り合いは印象的な場面を作り出します。役者と観客との間のコミュニケーションもあり、また演技を作り上げて行く段階での役者たちと演出家の間でのやりとりもあります。
From ancient times to the present, and from the East to the West, theater has consisted of dialogue at various levels. Heated discussion among characters and conversations overflowing with emotion create memorable scenes. There is also communication between actors and the audience as well as between actors and producers in the process of creating performances.
当日は、フランス演劇の日本での翻訳上演、歌舞伎における観客と役者のコミュニケーション、ICUの授業におけるシェークスピア作品の演技の試みなどのトピックを映像を交えて取り上げ、演劇における豊かな対話(ダイアログ)を多角的に浮かび上がらせました。
This event focused on topics such as translations and performances of French plays in Japan, communication between actors and audience in kabuki, and attempts to perform works of Shakespeare in ICU courses. Videos were shown, and rich theater dialogue was illuminated from multiple angles.
