2013年度のキリスト教週間（C-Week）に合わせて、M. William Steele教授（歴史学）による「多磨霊園ツアー」が行われました。献学60周年記念行事として鈴木寛教授（数学）の発案によるもので、当日は、学生たちと共に内村鑑三、植村環、賀川豊彦、新渡戸稲造といったキリスト者に加えて、東郷平八郎、中島知久平といった軍人、政治家の墓も尋ね、日本近代史の中でICUの60年に思いを馳せました。

The history professor M. William Steele led a tour of the Tama Cemetery during ICU's "C-Week" this year. Professor Hiroshi Suzuki, from the mathematics department, suggested the tour as a 60th anniversary event. The tour placed ICU in the context of contemporary Japanese history by visiting the graves of important Christians like Kanzo Uchimura, Tamaki Uemura, Toyohiko Kagawa and Inazo Nitobe, as well as soldiers and politicians such as Heihachiro Togo and Chikuhei Nakajima.
