ICUでは、留学はリベラルアーツの学びを補完し、さらに深めるものとして位置づけられています。
異文化に触れ、英語力を向上することを目的とした海外英語研修（SEA）プログラムのみならず、留学先の学生と同じ授業を受け、
ICUの単位として編入できる交換留学プログラムや夏期留学プログラムなど、様々な留学制度が充実しています。
まずは、自分の留学の動機や目的をよく考え、自分にあったプログラムを探すことから始めましょう。
主体的に学習計画を立てることで、在学中に1年間留学しても4 年間で卒業することができます。
入学前の海外経験、入試形態に関わらず、応募いただけます。

Study Abroad Programs offered by ICU aim to deepen the learning of liberal arts education.
We provide ample opportunities to study at universities overseas
such as Study English Abroad (SEA) Program where you can improve your English skills,
as well as other various types of Study Abroad Programs,
such as programs like Exchange/Study Abroad Programs and Summer Study Abroad Programs
where you can take classes with the local students at host universities.
With those programs, it is possible to transfer credits to ICU.
As the first step, set your goals and define your objectives for study abroad and then,
look for the programs that would match with you.
By planning well in advance, you will be able to graduate in four years including one year study abroad.
Anyone can apply regardless of one's previous overseas experience and which admission system
that he/she took to enter the university.

Study English Abroad
（SEA） Program

英語圏にある大学等に留学し、リベラルアーツ英語プログラム（ELA）の単位の一部を取得できる夏休みのプログラムです。１年次または２年次のいずれかに参加できます。

SEA Program is designed to earn a portion of the English for Liberal Arts Program (ELA) credits. There are two programs; one for the first year students and the other for the second year students.

Summer Study
Abroad Program

夏休みを利用して、海外大学や研修機関に留学し単位を取得するプログラムです。専門科目を英語で学んだり、第二外国語のコースを集中的に受講したりすることもできます。

Participants in this program can study specialized subjects in English at prominent universities/institutes overseas and earn credits during the summer break. Students may also learn a foreign language other than English intensively.

Exchange/Study
Abroad Program

ICUと海外大学との協定に基づき学生を相互派遣します。参加者はICUに在籍したまま、海外大学正規授業で専門の学びを深めます。１年間留学でも4年間で卒業することが可能です。

Based on the exchange agreements, ICU and the overseas partner university send students reciprocally. Students participating in this program remain enrolled at ICU while they take courses at host universities. Graduating in 4 years is possible even if they study abroad for 1 year.

French Study Abroad

夏休みにトゥールーズ大学ジャン・ジョレス校でフランス語を学び、ホームステイなどの異文化交流をしながら語学と文化の理解を深めます。修了時にフランス語能力試験TCFを全員受検します。

Students study French language at the University of Toulouse - Jean Jaurès during the summer break while experiencing homestay and cultural exchange. They will take a standardized French language test (TCF) at the end of the program.

Overseas Teaching Practicumin Japanese

春学期に毎週1時限の授業において海外で行う教育実習の準備をし、夏休み中の3週間メルボルン市周辺の学校において日本語学習者に対して教育実習を行います。

Those who prepare for teaching practicum can practice teaching with students studying Japanese in Melbourne. Students will take a preparatory class per week during the Spring term.

ミドルベリー大学MIIS（Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey）の修士課程で学び、ICU学士課程とあわせて約5年間でICUの学士号とMIISの修士号の取得を目指します。

Students participating in this program study at the graduate school of Middlebury College, the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey (MIIS), and earn a bachelor's degree from ICU and a master's degree from MIIS in a total of approximately five years.

その他の国際交流プログラムDifferent Types of Program

ISPJ
- International Summer Program in Japan 		日本研究を専攻している（又は興味がある）ICU生と、海外の日本語学習者向けプログラム。主に7月、ICUキャンパスで寮生活を送りながら、講義やディスカッション、フィールドワーク等さまざまな活動を通して日本について学びます。
This program is designed for ICU students majoring in (or interested in) Japan Studies and Japanese language learners from abroad. Mainly in July, while living in a dormitory on the ICU campus, students learn about Japan through lectures, discussions, fieldwork, and various other activities.
LBT
- Language Buddies / Language Tables 		Language Buddies / Tablesは、ICUの学生、ICUとの協定校の学生なら誰でも参加可能な言語交換・交流プログラムです。Buddiesは、1対1の日英言語学習・交流、Tablesは、各言語（日本語、英語、中国語など）のグループ会話プログラムです。
Language Buddies & Tables are language exchange programs open to all ICU students and students from ICU partner institutions. 'Buddies' is a one-on-one Japanese-English language exchange, and 'Tables' are group conversations for each language (Japanese, English, Chinese, etc.).
